BEAUTIFUL AUSTRALIAN MADE ART
Drumroll please, because the votes have been tallied and Pantone have announced their Top 10 colours for Spring 2017. While there were some gorgeous, energetically bold hues amongst the mix (we’re looking at you, Primrose Yellow), we’ve narrowed our focus down to a mini palette within the lineup which has such an irresistible potential for interior applications.
Behold, our rightful colour of the year winner, this zesty little number — ‘Greenery’.
“Bringing forth a refreshing take, Greenery is a tangy yellow-green that speaks to our need to explore, experiment and reinvent. Illustrative of flourishing foliage, the fertile attributes of Greenery signals one to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate,” said Pantone.
We’ve spoken about our love for botanical style before, and we can’t promise we won’t again. We’re totally.. digging.. everything about bringing the outside into our spaces, both literally with leafy plant textures and somewhat more subtly through colour selections. Which brings us to our next guest..
We know what you’re thinking, and don’t worry, we’re right there with you — kale chips aren’t real chips, people!! This delicious green hue, however, is something we can get behind! Perfect for layering with it’s cousin ‘Greenery’, again breathing life into a space with its nature inspired connotations.
Perhaps inspired by it’s 2016 predecessor, Rose Quartz, slightly warmer undertones result in this perfectly nude pink hue. It’s inclusion this year only fuels our blush obsession further.
A timeless neutral, the ever-so-subtle warm undertones of ‘Hazelnut’ are just made for interiors.
Just like a certain choc-hybrid spread also starring hazelnuts who shall not be named here (hey, if you’re going to be breaking resolutions it’s not going to be on our watch!) — we want to put this E.V.E.R.Y. WHERE.
So, now we’re all acquainted, be sure to take a look at our take on this totally-layerable palette below:
